Sports Law

Attorney Zachary A. Karber is certified as a “player agent” by both the National Football Players Association (NFLPA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). Attorney Karber provides representation services to prospective, active, and retired professional football and basketball players (as well as coaches!).

Meet Zachary A. Karber, Esquire MBA

Karber, P.A. was founded in 2020 by Zachary A. Karber after he spent several years practicing construction and commercial liability litigation for a large insurance defense firm. Prior to that, Zachary spent multiple years at a boutique construction & small business law firm, where he practiced all aspects of both construction litigation & business law, and represented all types of companies within the construction & property development industries, ranging from commercial property developers, lenders, and accredited investors to prime contractors, specialty contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and more.

Prior to practicing law, Zachary was a Management Associate and graduate of the executive management training program at C1 Financial Inc./C1 Bank (formerly NYSE: BNK) prior to it being ultimately acquired by the Bank of Ozarks (NASDAQ: OZRK) in June 2016. During law school, Zachary served as a Corporate Law Clerk in the Tampa office for Ardagh Packing Holdings, Ltd., a Luxembourg-based glass and metal manufacturer. Also, while in law school, Zachary served as the Legislative Law Clerk for the Office of U.S. Congresswoman Kathy Castor (FL-14) and was responsible for debriefing the Congresswoman and her staff on the Supreme Court’s opinion in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius, 567 U.S. 519 (2012), also known as the “Obama Care” case.

Zachary attended & graduated college from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 2009, and he then attended graduate school at Stetson University in Gulfport & Deland, Florida, where he earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2014. In 2013 during graduate school, Zachary also studied abroad at the Cayman Island Law School at its program on Offshore Tax Havens and Financial Institutions.

Zachary is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for both the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as all Florida Circuit & County Courts.

Zachary is also a certified NFL and NBA “player agent.”
